… I enjoy the extra push to elevate my performance. With both I have found a supportive and warm environment
backstage. Festivals whether with a contest or not are such a fantastic environment to connect to and perform with
artists from all over the world.

- How does it feel to be proclaimed the Queen of Burlesque on 2 major European stages and a third at home(
Baby Grand Burlesque Festival is in Cape Town South Africa)?
- SLH: It has been an incredible experience to have received the level of acknowledgement and validation that comes
with winning these crowns. I could not have imagined winning 3 crowns in just 4 months. Even more than the crowns
the support and appreciation I have received from fellow artists and performers has really allowed me to embrace a
belief in my skill I previously had not felt on this level.

- What should we expected from Scar-Lit Hearts in 2023?
- SLH: I definitely plan on returning to Europe this year and would love to compete and perform at more festivals this
year. I'm also eager to try and create more opportunities to perform in South Africa.
And of course I would not mind another crown (or 2) ;)
